im a cowboy and i got the night on my side.

nothing too exciting today, but i gotta get this thing started.
work today went not bad, i spent the majority of it doing scheduling for the job site.
which basically means i walked around every room of the YMCA we are building, and made a list of every single thing that needs to be finished in the 75,000 square foot building.
i also spent a good amount of time out for coffee with scott talking about oil and gas prices,
and out for lunch with papa giorgio talking about the poor management situation our company's regina office has.
for example....bryan the project manager for this particular job called today to let me know he needed me to do a couple "high profile jobs so we could free up a hundred grand or so." this to me means, warranty work that has to get finished so they can close a couple contracts. fine, no big deal. turns out he needed some door frames caulked at a building we put up last year.
also, today, (remembering its only monday) he set up a meeting with all the subtrades to discuss the schedule he had me put together for him, and then sent an email around 1pm saying he was too busy to attend.
and he was too busy to keep an eye on this jobsite so Lynn was going to be giving him a hand.
it could go on, but ill save some for later, cause there is inevitably more complaining to do about that situation.

ive been thinking alot the last few days about life, and the way things change so fast.
i spent the weekend in calgary visiting friends i havent seen in a long time, went there for the Jones funeral.
so that will always make you consider a lot of things, there was so many people there, and so many i know would have liked to have been there, i wonder if in my life i could make a positive impact on that many people.
positive is the operative word. and then i saw hubs new baby, well sorta new, hes still really small...and its hard to think that it belongs to hub. but when you see the kids eyes light up when he sees his dad its unmistakable. this summer, watching my 86 year old grandpa learn to walk again, and learn to speak again, thinking about what he went through when all this started.
talking to some of my friends whos family members are sick, people ive been friends with for years, and not knowing at all what to say to them...theres so many things going on that change our "now lives" that we cant see past anything but whats right in front of us.

Soccer game tonight @ 10pm VS. the raiders.
