it finally dawned on me.
winter is here.
whether were ready for it or not.
i for one am not. never am.
sneaks up on me every year.
but today i think i finally realized its here to stay.
i was outside shovelling the sidewalk and driveway.
walking down the sidewalk in front of my house, bent over the shovel.
as i passed the one bush that is sort of taking over the one corner of the house.
i brushed it a little bit with my shoulder and a couple branches dropped their snow down the back of my pants.
and there it was...its winter time.
better go buy some more long undies.

my realization came the other day when i biffed so hard that i almost broke my hip.
it's not fun, but it's reality.
